Identify the trouble spot where the record is skipping. The bad news is if the skipping is being caused by visible scratches on the surface of the vinyl the record is most likely beyond repair.

Im not sure if my needle needs replacing but i wouldnt think so since i only got this turntable about a month ago. Replay the skip a few times taking note of how far into the record the needle is when it hits the skip. Identify the problem area by playing the lp record on a turntable.
